1. Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address, username, display name, and any profile information you choose to add, such as a profile photo, cover photo, bio, and style preferences.

When you use MatchMe, we collect the content you post, including outfit photos, captions, item tags, comments, saved looks, and Style Chat posts and replies.

We automatically collect basic usage information, such as when you follow someone, save a look, or interact with posts, in order to power features like notifications and your saved items.

2. Anonymous Posts in Style Chat

Style Chat lets you post a request or a reply anonymously. When you choose this option, your username and photo are hidden from other users viewing that post or reply.

However, your account is still linked to that content in our systems. This allows you to see and delete your own anonymous posts, and allows us to enforce our content policies and respond to legal requests if required. Anonymity applies to what other users can see — not to what MatchMe stores internally.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Operate and maintain your account and profile
• Show your posts, comments, and replies to other users as intended
• Power features like follows, saved looks, and notifications
• Keep the app safe by responding to reports and enforcing our policies
• Improve and troubleshoot the app

4. Sharing of Information

Content you post publicly (looks, captions, comments, non-anonymous Style Chat posts) is visible to other users of the app. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

We use third-party service providers, including Supabase, to store data and images. These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. Some product links shared by users may be affiliate links; see our Terms of Service for details.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information and content for as long as your account is active. If you delete a post, look, or your account, we remove the associated content from the app, though some information may be retained where required for legal or security purposes.

6. Your Choices

You can edit or delete your profile information, delete individual posts, comments, saved looks, and Style Chat content, block accounts, and choose to post anonymously in Style Chat at any time. You can also permanently delete your account from Settings at any time.

7. Children's Privacy

MatchMe is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect information from children under this age.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app.
